Baby Tanner & I have been going back and forth lately. The little bugger has been making me quite sick, and we have had multiple discussions about it. Yesterday, I woke up around 1am VERY sick. From then until about 6pm, I got sick every 1-2 hours. I ended up leaving work early to come home, but was so dizzy feeling that I had a friend drive me. I couldn't even keep water down. Kirk got home around 5 and woke me to take my temperature (what a great daddy/hubbin) and we discovered it was 100.2. I called the after-hours number for my OB and the on-call doctor called me back. He thinks it was a gastrointestinal bug and that it would work itself out. He said if I didn't feel better by around 10am Saturday to call him back because he would then be concerned about dehydration. Luckily, I woke up feeling somewhat better, and had kept water, sherbet (YUM!) and a few bites of macaroni & cheese (YUM again!) down all night. This week has probably been the roughest I have had so far...and I can only hope its the tail end of this storm. Everyone keeps telling me that being sick is a great sign, that everything is working correctly in my belly, and junk like that. I'm sure there is some truth to it, but I still look at my para-pro, who is due the day after me and can't help but be jealous that she has had NO sickness!!
I had the first person to tell me I was glowing the other day. That is extremely hard to believe, but I just chalked it up to my being sweaty & nauseous because that's pretty much all I feel lately. Oh well...maybe starting to get things organized for the half-nursery will make me feel better?!
