Thursday morning was my second appointment. Kirk had to work, so Mama made the drive to Macon to join me. I had another sonogram/ultrasound thing (the uncomfortable kind that totally caught mama off guard) and we got to see the little alien again! This time, not only did I see Baby's heartbeat (still didn't hear it though), but we saw the blood flowing and got to see the little black blob that is the brain! I've got one smart kiddo brewing in there!! Based on the measurements, the doctor has bumped the due date a little bit, and we are now looking at January 3, 2011. I still think I have a shot at the first baby of the new year though :-)
Anywho...Baby is 8 weeks along today, which puts them at the size of a raspberry. The baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though I can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.
