2 Week Checkup Update!

Yesterday was Amelia's 2 week appointment and things are going great! She now weighs 8lbs 6oz which means she is eating like a champ! We are exclusively breastfeeding and I am really excited to know that she is getting everything she needs from me.  She somehow shrunk a quarter of an inch though-which I think is really funny! She was measured at 20 3/4 inches at birth and yesterday the nurse measured and double checked.  Amelia measured 20.5 inches.  Maybe she was just super stretching out at the hospital after being crammed in my belly for 9 months.  Her jaundice level wasn't even a concern for the doctor, and we didn't have to have a billi-count taken! Yay for no bloodwork.  Her belly button stump came off yesterday too! I can't wait to get her into a warm, submerged bath and see how she likes the water now.
Afterward, Mimi, Mema, and I be-bopped around Macon looking for a cute dress for her to wear to the party this weekend.  Who knew it would be so dang hard to find a dress for this little girl?! I came home with a sack full of cute outfits, but no dress.  Mimi stopped at Tanger outlet on the way back home and was able to find a few-I can't wait to see them!
We have Kirk's MRI follow-up appointment this afternoon, and hopefully will find out what is going on with his shoulder.  He has been hurting for about a year now, and it's time for him to have some relief!

What good is a post without pictures?  This one is her snuggled up yesterday morning.  It's so hard to wake such a cutie.

I absolutely LOVE seeing Kirk snuggling with his daughter.  This was after daddy and daughter both ate dinner and were ready for bed...while watching a little TV on the couch.
