What Fun It's Been!

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions! I went back to work on Valentine's Day, but Mimi was here to watch Amelia.  Tomorrow starts Kirk's official "on-duty" dad time, as he will be keeping her during the day until he goes back to work.  Speaking of work-I missed mine! Honestly!! It's bittersweet to be back, because I miss Amelia every moment I am gone, but I enjoy being back with my students.  Everyday is something new, and just as I watch Amelia grow and change, I get to watch my students do it too.  My coworkers around the school have been so sweet in welcoming me back, which totally makes the transition back to work easier.  I pump at least twice while I am at work because we are trying to keep Amelia exclusively breastfed as long as she will allow.  She hasn't shown any resistance to going between the bottle and the breast, which I am extremely thankful for! 
Grammy came to visit and meet Amelia this weekend, and boy were we busy!! The 3 of us went to Atlanta Friday morning to watch Max swim in the ACC swim meet at GA Tech.  He did awesome and made it back for finals that day (which means we got to see him swim twice)! Amelia wore her GA Tech onesie, the yellow tutu I made her and her striped legwarmers.  SO CUTE!

In between the prelims and finals, we walked around Centennial Olympic Park, went to the Aquarium, and briefly strolled through Ikea (good thing---because I could have dropped some serious money in there)! Amelia LOVED the Aquarium! She just stared at all the tanks in wonder and amazement, and it was so neat to see her soaking it all in!

Saturday we all came down to Milledgeville and our house.  Grammy has not seen our new place, and wanted to spend some time down here with us. She brought the family christening gowns to recreate some pictures with! We also made sure to get a picture of the 4 generations of ladies, as well as taking a trip to the farm.  Amelia might have picked out her future pony while we were there...or did that pony pick her?!
