We have been diligently getting things going for Bean's room and Bean's nook in our room. This past weekend we started stripping the wardrobe cabinet Any & Dex found for us at Salvation Army (for $30!!). It stripped down to a beautiful grain almost cherry wood color. Kirk put the first coat of clear varnish on Monday night-WOO!! The picture on the left is of Kirk scraping the paint off the wardrobe with a hand scraper. The picture on the right shows what happened when he got tired of scraping and figured the pressure washer would make things easier (and it did!). :-)
I can't remember if I posted this picture before...but here is a profile picture of Bean at 20 weeks! Don't strain your eyes though-there is NO indication of boy or girl in this picture! HA!
I went to a kids consignment sale yesterday evening in Gray and got the most beautiful, fun swing I could imagine! It was a steal too!! It even converts to just a baby seat too. Yay for multi-tasking and space-saving!! These are pictures from the fisher-price website of Bean's new swing!
I also walked away with a $4 BreastFriend, a ton of newborn new baby socks, some SUPER cute beanie hats, a set of closet organizer clothing size dividers (to make things easier for Kirk), and (yeah--I caved) a set of UGA booties and a UGA beanie (to please kirk...I am counting on Max & Bailey to hook Bean up with Tech gear!). I hesitated on a few things yesterday and might go back this afternoon to see what else I can dig up as far as good geals! Wish me luck!
